#APG2015 reflection post 3/4: Inspiring others with who have disabilities.
On the last day of Swimming races, I was having dinner together with a few other Team Singapore athletes at KWM when we spotted a young boy in a wheelchair. I had wondered what it mean for him and his family to be able to watch these amazing para athletes in action, and how lovely it would be if he could meet and interact with some of our athletes. Fast forward till the end of dinner; the stars aligned. Yip Pin Xiu and Theresa Goh had stopped by to join us for awhile and got to meet the boy, Jeremiah. His smile when he saw them, his patience as he waited for Theresa to be done with her phone interviews, and his awe when he held one of their medals in his hands... Priceless. (Picture by Sam Leong)
